Bell Bay Aluminium received three gongs in the 2023 Women in Resources and Manufacturing Tasmania Awards hosted in Launceston mid-June by the Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing & Energy Council (TMEC) in conjunction with WIMnet Tasmania (AusIMM).

Process Maintainer, Kayla Williams won the major award – Exceptional Woman in Tasmanian Resources. Business Improvement Specialist, Zixuan Wang was a joint winner in the Exceptional Young Woman in Tasmanian Resources. BBA’s entry Our roadmap to a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace won Excellence in Company Programs and Performance in Tasmanian Resources. Metal Products Crew Leader, Katie Fisher was also a finalist in the Exceptional Woman in Tasmanian Resources Award.

While these awards showcase our industry ambassadors and promote the opportunity for women to consider a career in resources, mining and manufacturing; a workforce with people from diverse backgrounds is critical to the long-term future of our industry. At BBA we are committed to creating a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace for all our employees.

Kayla, Zixuan, and Our roadmap to a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace will represent Tasmania at the National Women in Resources Awards in Canberra on Tuesday September 5.
