More than $58,000 has been distributed between 24 Tasmanian organisations as part of Rio Tinto Bell Bay Aluminium’s (BBA) 2025 Community Grants Program.
From accessible garden beds and junior cricket equipment to CPR training mannequins and a new viewing platform, the successful projects reflect the diverse and meaningful ways local groups are enriching their communities.
BBA General Manager Richard Curtis said the selection process was highly competitive, with a high number of applications received.
“It was a tough decision for our employee panel to choose from so many outstanding submissions,” Mr Curtis said.
“Our Community Grants Program is guided by BBA’s values and focuses on initiatives that support education and environment, inclusion and diversity, culture and heritage, health and wellbeing, and economic contributions.
“We’re proud to support these organisations with grants of up to $3,000, helping to strengthen community connections and make a real difference in people’s lives.”
