WorkSafe Tasmania held its biennial WorkSafe Tasmania Awards on Friday 3 November 2023. The WorkSafe Tasmania Awards showcase excellence in workplace safety solutions, innovations and systems across the state and are a celebration of what can be achieved to reduce workplace incidents and deaths.
We are delighted to say that Bell Bay Aluminium was the recipient of two awards.
Phil Jamieson, Process Maintainer, Asset Management won the Excellence in contributions to work health and safety award for his work in emergency response and for coordinating the 2022 Tasmanian Minerals and Emergency Response Committee’s annual competition at site last October.
Ant Reeve, Specialist and RioExpert was recognised for his work on the implementation of the modular staircase access and egress for the Carbon Bake Furnace rebuild, winning the Excellence in implementing a work health and safety solution category.
